The Team
Dr Cheung-Tak Hung
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Dr Cheung-Tak Hung has been an Executive Director of Zenith Technology since 1988. Dr Hung was a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy, University of Otago, New Zealand (1983-1988). Dr Hung received his B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Pharmacy in 1978 and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science in 1982 from Aberdeen, UK. Dr Hung’s research interests include drug targeting, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical formulation and pharmaceutical analysis. Dr Hung has published some 90 original articles in scientific and medical journals and is the inventor of two patents.
Dr Hung jointly received the Distinguished Biotechnologist Award for 2002, and an MNZM for services to philanthropy and the Chinese community in the 2009 Queen’s Birthday Honours.
Peter Foster
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Peter joined Botry-Zen Ltd in late 2008. He brings with him significant experience in supervision and management of large staff within major plant and factories.
Peter was heavily involved in the mining sector, working at both Argyle Diamond Mines and Boddington Gold Mine in Australia.Peter was recruited back to New Zealand to undertake a management role at Macraes Gold Mine. Other positions held were Production Supervisor at Prebensen Pipelines, and Health & Safety Manager at PPCS Silverstream.
Matt Lambeth
MICROBIOLOGIST (B.SC, P. G. DIP SCI.)
I began my career with AgResearch. This involved carrying out studies in sheep genetics. I moved on to look at bacterial strain differentiation of livestock pathogens before working for the University of Otago as a teaching fellow in the health sciences.
Prior to starting with Botry-Zen, I worked for another bio-technology company producing an oral bait vaccine to protect wildlife and livestock. My role here involves producing the pure starter cultures, overseeing the fermentation and manufacturing processes and carrying out the quality control procedures. This ensures our products arrive with our customers in the best possible condition so that optimum pathogen control is achieved.
